The SANFL are the governing body relating to Aussie Rules Football in South Australia and they are also responsible for running the state’s top division. The SANFL has been in place since way back in 1877 and it’s an important and competitive league in the modern era.
Ten teams take part in a current format which sees those sides play each other twice during the regular season. All clubs will play 18 opening games and, at the end of this sequence, the top five will progress to a series of playoffs. An elimination and a qualifying final will now be played and these games will be followed by two semi finals. The penultimate match in the campaign is a preliminary final and eventually, we will have the Grand Final to determine the overall champion.
This complex format allows for plenty of action, both in the regular and postseason and Unibet are here at every stage with comprehensive betting markets and excellent odds.
Markets for the outright winner of the Grand Final will be published in advance of the competition and customers can take time to do their research before making a decision. Match Betting starts to appear as soon as the fixture list is confirmed and the calendar for the regular season is in place.
Moneyline odds form an important part of many Aussie Rules betting strategies but there is potential to look away from straight match betting. This is a sport that offers scope for handicap markets and a set of props including total points and winning margin.
Australian Rules Football can also be picked up in the live section of our sportsbook where the majority of those markets will also appear for those who like to stake in play once the action has begun.
