Top level Aussie Rules Football teams in Western Australia aim to land the WAFL trophy at the end of a long season. It may represent a secondary tier behind the main AFL but the action on the pitch remains fierce and there is drama from the start of the regular season through to the end of the Grand Final.
Originally established in 1885, the WAFL is a compact division in the modern era with ten teams currently taking part. During that regular season, all clubs will play 18 games and, when those matches are concluded, the table is effectively split into two. The top five sides progress to the Finals Series while the bottom five are eliminated and have to try again in the following campaign.
That Finals Series now begins and this is a set of playoffs including qualifiers, eliminations, semi finals and a preliminary final. Eventually, the two teams who make it through from that series will do battle in the Grand Final. This is a one-off, winner takes all match with the champions’ pennant on the line.
Those that like to consider outright betting can take an ante post WAFL pick in advance of the new season. The overall winner market will appear ahead of the action and it will remain until the Grand Final is eventually decided.
Match Betting will appear shortly after the fixture list for the regular season has been confirmed. Along with those moneyline options for either side, customers should see some handicap picks in place while any major Australian Rules Football game will come with a series of prop bets attached. Live betting is also available for those who want to consider markets once a match has kicked off and we’ll back that choice up with excellent odds across the board.
