Here are some popular betting markets for US elections:

Winning Party

Bet on the winning party.

Party to Win by Popular Vote

The US presidential election uses the Electoral College system, where each state has a certain number of electoral votes based on its population. To win, a candidate needs at least 270 of the 538 total electoral votes.
For this reason, the winner of the popular vote doesn’t necessarily win the election. In the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, but Donald Trump won the election because he crossed the 270-vote threshold by winning 304 electoral votes.

Swing States

In US elections, voters in many states rarely change their allegiance and vote for the same party in many election cycles. However, voters in certain states called “swing states” change their votes in different presidential elections. These states are often considered crucial in deciding the winner of the election. On Unibet we sometimes offer odds betting on which party will in a particular state.
